Moss Poles

D-shape moss poles that support plants and help them grow bigger, more mature leaves. They're made from high quality, foldable, recyclable plastic, and come in black, white or a frosted finish. Honeycomb cutouts let aerial roots push in and anchor, and adjustable tabs fit different pot sizes.

They can be filled with more than sphagnum moss. Soil blends, bark or tree fern fibre all work. Water the substrate from the top to keep the moss moist.

• Mini: about 30cm tall, 5cm wide
• Small: 35cm tall, 6cm wide
• Medium: 40cm tall, 7.5cm wide

Tips for customers

• A 5L bag of our Sphagnum Moss fills 2 Medium, 2 Small and 2 Mini poles. It depends on the adjustment you set and how tightly you pack the moss. The narrowest width makes the moss go further.
• Push the base of the pole a few inches into the soil, so the soil holds it in place.
• If a customer tends to overwater, leave a few inches empty at the bottom of the pole before adding the substrate, or fill the bottom few inches with clay pebbles or another aerating component.
• To rehydrate the moss, poke a tiny hole in the cap of an empty water bottle, fill it with water (and fertiliser if wanted) and stand it upside down in the top of the pole. The water trickles down slowly.
